October 1, 2009 - During the month of September, Bluewave Energy and Parker Street came together to help raise thousands of dollars for the "Fuel For Hope" campaign in Halifax, NS.
The campaign involved placing three full sized oil tanks in shopping malls across Halifax. The oil tanks served as piggy banks for shoppers to donate money. Mini piggy banks were also placed in bank branches across the city to help support the campaign.
Shoppers generously donated thousands of dollars to the emergency fund throughout the month. Bluewave also joined in and donated a generous amount of heating oil to help bring heat to homes in need.
