Manage your home heating expenses with equal payments spread over the 10-month home heating season. With budget billing payment plans by Bluewave Energy, budgeting has never been easier.
Our budget billing service is a free, stable payment plan that allows you to pay an average amount for your energy use each month — from September to June — to help you avoid spikes in your home energy bill caused by seasonal fluctuations.
Enjoy the convenience of our Budget Billing Payment Plans. Unlike traditional billing methods, our Budget Billing Service:
Your bill is based on estimating your total yearly cost and dividing it by the number of payments you’ll be making during the budget season.
Budget Billing Service payments are made through pre-authorized bank or credit card accounts and are paid on the 1st and/or 15th of the month.
Your payment includes your oil and/or propane as well as your home heating equipment service plan (if you have one). Budget payments do not include equipment sales, leases or rentals.
Actual costs can differ due to weather, home renovations, oil prices and other factors. Mid-way through the winter, we’ll analyze your account and contact you if we recommend adjusting your payment.
Statements are issued in December, March and June.
Your final statement is issued June 30th.
Any credit or balance owing on your account will automatically be processed in full to your bank account or credit card within 30 days of the final statement.
An amount due is usually a reflection of the cost of one month’s lease or rental because pre-authorized payments usually appear on the following statement. For example, the January lease may appear as an amount due on the January bill even though it will be automatically paid in February. Therefore, if your lease is set up for pre-authorized payment, do not pay this amount due.
An amount due can also be the result of charges not covered in your budget plan such as equipment purchases, burner service work and missed payments. All of these amounts are payable.
The account balance is not payable. It is meant to show you the running balance of total payments and total charges at any point in the season. Ideally, by the end of the budget season, total payments for that period will be about the same as total actual charges, with the difference being reflected in the account balance. In contrast, amount due reflects items not covered in the budget plan, which is usually zero. The amount due is payable, except for leases as noted above.
During the summer of each year you will be notified of your estimated monthly payment amount for the following season. There is no need to contact us to re-approve pre-authorized payments—the new amount will automatically be deducted from your bank or credit card account beginning each September.
